Barbara R. Hamilton, CPA | Firm President
Barb is the firm President; she has been with our firm since 1986. She grew up in Powell, graduated from Powell High School in 1980, earned her Associate of Science degree at Northwest College in Powell, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 1985, graduating with honors. After graduating, Barb worked with a small CPA firm in Powell for a year before joining our firm. She has been licensed to practice as a CPA since 1986.
Barb has very broad experience in all areas of income tax preparation and planning. She is also well versed in estate and trust administration and planning, financial statement preparation including compilations and reviews, business consulting services and QuickBooks consulting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wyoming Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Barb enjoys spending time with friends and family, and the great outdoor opportunities provided by living close to the mountains. She also enjoys many hobbies; most involve anything related to something to eat or drink! Whether it’s making bean to bar chocolate, gardening, tending a flock of chickens, keeping bees, establishing an apple orchard and berry patch, cooking, baking, making beer, wine, mead………it’s all good!
Timothy D. Stewart, CPA | Firm Vice President
Tim graduated from Cody High School in 1994, after growing up in Cody. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 1998. In May of 1998, Tim sat for and passed the Uniform CPA Examination and began his professional career with Union Pacific Corporation in Omaha, Nebraska. Tim spent nearly 12 years in the Finance Department at Union Pacific working in Corporate Audit, Capital Planning, and Treasury. In 2010, he left Union Pacific to become Chief Financial Officer of Signal 88 Franchise Group, Inc. During his 2 ½ years with Signal 88, Tim managed all financial aspects of the Company and advised 80+ franchisees on cash flow and other financial matters. Tim returned to Cody in January 2013 along with his wife, Kim, to raise their four boys. Tim has been granted his license to practice as a CPA in Wyoming, effective January 2014.
Cynthia M. Rankin, CPA
Cynthia graduated from Cody High School, after growing up in Cody. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Utah State University in 1978, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Cynthia owned a private practice for 25 years before joining our firm in January 2021.
Cynthia has a wide range of experience in income tax preparation and planning, and financial statement preparation including compilations and reviews.
Wendy L. Jacobs
Wendy is a third-generation Cody girl. She graduated from Cody High School in 1982 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming in 1986. Wendy worked for Cynthia M. Rankin, CPA for 24 years. She joined our firm in January 2021 when Whittle, Hamilton & Associates P.C. merged with the practice of Cynthia M. Rankin, CPA.
Her duties include payroll preparation and reporting, bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and income tax preparation.
Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband and pets during her time off. She also has many hobbies including drawing, painting, gardening, cooking, and a variety of crafts.
Kelsey L. Brown
Kelsey was born and raised in Powell and graduated from Powell High School in 2000. She worked for local veterinarians where some of the bookkeeping duties were placed under her care, shifting her focus more toward the financial aspects of business. She received her Certified Bookkeeper Certificate in 2016 and provided independent bookkeeping services to local business in the Powell and Cody area before joining our firm in 2018. Kelsey’s duties now include client bookkeeping and payroll services, financial statement compilation and income tax preparation, and providing notary public services. She is also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and assists clients with software setup and troubleshooting issues.
Kelsey resides in Cody and loves to spend time in the mountains riding horses, fishing, and camping with her husband, daughter, and close friends.
Blake A. Hinze
Blake is a Cody native; he graduated from Cody High School in 2016. He earned his Associate of Science degree at Northwest Community College in Powell. In December of 2020, Blake graduated from the University of Wyoming with his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is currently working toward obtaining his CPA license. In his free time, Blake enjoys being outdoors with his friends and family. They like to go fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring new places.
Clayton S. Robinson
Clayton graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in December of 2021. He then promptly joined our firm in January of 2022, and is currently working toward obtaining his CPA license. In his spare time, Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, hunting and fishing.
Kasie M. Brenner
Kasie was born and raised in Cody, Wyoming and graduated Cody High School in 2019. After high school Kasie went to work for Yellowstone Equine Hospital caring for horses and assisting in surgery while taking general courses at Northwest College.
Kasie joined Whittle, Hamilton & Associates P.C. in November of 2021 and is eager to continue learning and pursuing a career.
Most of Kasie’s free time is spent with her horses training for barrel races or chasing elk in the mountains with family.
